Shenzhen is a young and inclusive city that is rapidly expanding. In just 30 years, many achievements have been made in the fields of fashion, science, technology, and creative design. As a result, designers from the rest of China and foreign countries have gradually taken root and developed in Shenzhen
“Shenzhen Vision” is an experimental exhibition during this event, and a new attempt for the Shenzhen International Furniture Exhibition to explore the furniture design field. The exhibition focuses not only on furniture design, but also on creative works of creators, graphic designers, craftsmen, lighting designers, and artists.
By tapping into the works designed or made in Shenzhen, “Shenzhen Vision” is expected to demonstrate local design strengths and integrate outstanding design resources. With furniture design as its canvas, it will show the public at large the originality and strengths in local design by combining physical exhibitions and workshops.
Each designer will present their latest works and are not limited to the furniture design field. In terms of the “Shenzhen” theme, designers in different fields can interpret it in any way they see fit.

TOBIA REPOSSI is an architect. Since 1998, he has split his time between Europe and Asia. During his 20-year design career, he has designed stores, kiosks, single-brand stores and showrooms, hotels, exhibitions, museums, offices, and indoor and outdoor products as well as furniture, electronics, and accessories. His works have been published in magazines and newspapers on numerous occasions and have received many important international awards.
TOBIA REPOSSI worked as a lecturer at the School of Design of Polytechnic University of Milan and the Istituto Europeo di Design (“IED”). In 2014, he established TR & Partners Company in Shenzhen to undertake product and interior design. He has worked on product design for leading Chinese companies such as Tencent, ZTE, and Huawei, as well as European and American brands manufactured and developed in China.
Everything comes from faith. 1983ASIA was co-founded by Su Su (Tianjin, China) and Yang Songyao (Malaysia) in Shenzhen. The studio displays the fruit of their research in the form of designs/art/characters/products. They are unparalleled in mixing and matching as well as aesthetics in Asia, and hope to spread the unique charm of Asian culture.
He graduated from Istituto Superiore Per Le Industrie Artistiche (“ISIA”) Di Firenze with a master’s degree in Product Design.
He has worked in the United States, Mainland China, and Hong Kong, China. During his 15 years of design experience, he has participated in many landmark design projects with a focus on finding the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. Edoardo Alessi is an expert at tailoring design solutions to spur and create very marketable and outstanding products to meet the diverse needs of his customers. Due to such flexible customization, his customers may range from large-scale global enterprises to small traditional craft shops.
Lim + Lu is a multi-disciplinary design company founded in New York and is currently based in Hong Kong.
The design works of Lim + Lu have been featured in international well-known architecture and design magazines in several countries. Lim + Lu was recently selected as the “Rising Asian Talent” by Maison & Objet 2017, “Designer Elite of 40 Under 40” by Perspective Magazine in Hong Kong, and one of “the 100 Most Influential Architects and Designers in China in 2017” by Architectural Digest (“AD”).
Jane Zhang is a Chinese Grade-1 registered architect, a visiting professor at Shenzhen University, an expert-member of the Shenzhen Architectural Design Evaluation Experts Library, and the founder and principal architect of Jane Z Studio.
Jane Z Studio is a multi-dimensional all-in-one design studio which actively undertakes lifestyle-related research and space, art, and architectural design. They specialize in creating vibrant and multi-functional spaces for work, leisure, and cultural life through commercial space planning, architectural design, and artistic installations.
Tony Lee is a promising young Chinese designer who is an expert at employing simple points, lines, and planes to create beautiful product designs. He has been invited to showcase his works at many design exhibitions both at home and abroad, such as SaloneSatellite (Shanghai), China International Furniture Fair (Guangzhou), China Shunde Home Furnishing Design Exhibition, and China International Furniture Fair (Shanghai). The designer has put forward a design philosophy that states, “designs should be simple but rich with emotion”.
